Leading Edge @ UNITY '08
Leading Edge Associates will be highly visible at the UNITY 2008 convention, held at McCormick Place West in Chicago July 23-27.
LEA President Larry Olmstead has been invited to speak at sessions sponsored by the National Association of Minority Media Executives; American Society of Newspaper Editors; Newspaper Association of America, and Asian-American Journalists Association. Separately, Larry will deliver a module on diversity for executives attending a National Association of Broadcasters-sponsored seminar at Northwestern University's Media Management Center.
Analisa Nazareno, managing editor of LEA's e-newsletter, Edgeline, will attend and produce coverage for the newsletter and www.leadingedgeassociates.net. Analisa is a veteran journalist who has long been active in AAJA.

Larry will lead a session that includes Kim Bui of CNN, Joe Grimm of the Detroit Free Press, Mike Kellogg of Community Newspaper Holdings Inc., Kim Moy of Yahoo and Veronica Villafane, former NAHJ president.
- Friday, July 25, 1:30 - 3 pm.: "The Path to the Publisher's Office," sponsored by NAA. Larry will moderate a panel that includes Orage Quarles III of The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C.; Mi-Ai Parrish of The Idaho Statesman in Boise, and Mike Kellogg of Community Newspaper Holdings Inc.
